Steve Angelo

Steve Angelo has been honing culinary skills all his life. As a youth he chopped and stirred alongside his grandparents, who instilled in him a love of food and an appreciation for the art of presenting it beautifully. Over the years Steve has built on his passion by working with and learning from some talented and creative people.

To him, cooking is all about people. Some chefs try to make it about the ingredients, but really, he says, it's about people and the feeling they get when they eat your food. That's what matters.

Lisa Kilkenny-Hansen

Purple Onion partner Lisa Hansen, with Steve, formerly comprised the core culinary team of a favorite local bistro. A pastry chef and party planner extraordinaire, she has built a following of appreciative customers over the years.

She also started her cooking career early, learning family secrets from her nana. After college and extensive travel, Lisa returned to Los Gatos and began to create unique and honest masterpieces for some of the area's most interesting restaurants and most discriminating palates. Her dedication to good food and happy diners is obvious in everything she does.
